Three brothers are lost in a machine. The machine, with its spinning blades, determines which of the three is doomed to what fate.
One brother, the youngest, is doomed to leave the maze and inherit the kingdom. A woman lives within the labyrinth, and the eldest brother is doomed to live with her, all his days inside the machine. The middle brother is doomed to die in the machine, to be forgotten. But when it comes time for the middle brother to die, he climbs over the machine’s blades, and the youngest brother dies in his place. And when they come to the place where the woman lives, the middle brother steals her away leaving the eldest alone in the darkness. The middle brother escapes the maze, to live with his stolen bride in his usurped kingdom, and enjoy the shame of victory. But noone escapes the machine. Its size is infinite. Its agents are everywhere.
